Pioneers unveils it BDP Blu-ray Players

Pioneer has been manufacturing Blu- ray players basically since the format’s release, but we don’t get around to reviewing most of them considering their hefty price tags.

The manufacturer introduced three new Blu- ray devices here at CES 2009, one of which functions Pioneer’s Elite label, also, the two less expensive models look to be listed competitively with other suppliers.

The crucial highlights of the Pioneer BDP-120 are profile 2. compatible, onboard Dolby TrueHD and DTS- HD Master Audio decoding and 1GB USB flash drive incorporated.

The Step- up features of the Pioneer BDP-320 are deep color support, picture control suite(13 extra video modulation) , three noise reduction circuits, 7. 1 analog audio outputs, precision Quartz Lock System(jitter- free audio transmission for CD) and 1GB of internal memory.

The most dear model amongst the 3 models introduced is the Pioneer Elite BDP- 23FD. Its step up features inlcudes the RS- 232C input designed for custom installer market.

Most of the highlights are straightforward, however it’s worth looking at some of the step- up highlights on the BDP-320. Deep Color support can mostly be ignored, as we’ve yet to see any commercial Blu- ray discs that gain Deep Color.

The extra video alterations and noise reduction controls are nice for home theater buffs who like to tweak, although we prefer to make changes on the display, rather than the player. Pioneer’s Precision Quartz Lock System might be a plus for audiophiles, however we’re broadly speaking a little skeptical about how audible CD audio jitter is.

Stellar step- up feature is the 7. 1 analog audio outputs, which will enable buyers with older non-HDMI receivers to experience Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks at their full resolution.
